Do Anywhere Resistance Band Fitness w/ Juliet

Juliet will lead participants in a resistance band workout. These exercises are very simple, and can be used at the office, home, as well as traveling. Resistance bands are lightweight and portable, take up very little space and are safe and easy to use.

Juliet has been in the health and fitness industry for the better part of a decade and uses her unique experiences with diverse clients as a basis for her individualized, holistic approach. She has experience working with clients having conditions ranging from arthritis to neuromuscular disorders. She holds certification through the American and Aerobics Fitness Association of America in Group Exercise Instruction and Personal Fitness Training. Zumba is a dance fitness class that incorporates easy to follow dance steps with traditional cardio movements. Take a trip around the world as you move to the rhythms of salsa, merengue, samba, flamenco and more! Tone and tighten your entire body. Zumba is an exciting and effective exercise program that is good for the mind, body, and soul! This class is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.

Catherine Schoch has been a pioneer of Zumba in the Hudson Valley since 2007. Her dedication and love for this program will enable you to enjoy the true Zumba® experience.

Lisa Woodrum is a certified personal trainer by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She was obese and struggled with maintaining a healthy weight, food, eating, and body image until her 40’s when she lost 100 pounds with the right combination of diet, exercise, and the support and accountability needed to implement them. Today she is the founder of Pegasus Fitness.

This workout incorporates rhythmic bodyweight conditioning and mobility exercises combined with easy to follow dance moves that will get your heart pumping, elevate your spirit, help prevent injury, and have you soaring to new fitness heights. Appropriate for all fitness levels.

Amanda J. Young As a social worker, fitness professional and educator, Amanda has spent the last 20 years helping others find their paths to fulfilling and productive lives. She is one of NYC’s elite fitness instructors, having been featured in Time magazine as a HIIT expert and currently stars in AcaciaTV’s fitness videos. While battling Trigeminal Neuralgia, an extremely debilitating disease, Amanda founded Face the Change, a campaign to increase awareness of the disease and find a cure.

 


 

Celeste Graves

T'ai Chi for Health
Ulster County Practitioners

Under the direction of Celeste Graves, Ulster County practitioners of all ages will demonstrate Sun Style Tai Chi for Health and Tai Chi for Energy. Health Expo participants are invited to watch or follow along with the gentle warm ups and gentle cool downs. Weather permitting this event will take place out doors.

Celeste Graves, MA is a Movement Arts Professional, combining dance, yoga, and Tai Chi for health, well being, and wholistic fitness. She has a masters degree from New York University in Dance Therapy, is certified in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, and in Dr. Paul Lam’s international programs to teach Tai Chi for Health.

Shaffali’s yoga and wellness sessions are a fluid moving meditation. They emphasize the mind, body, breath and soul connection, which she encourages each of her clients to embrace fully: “Through this embrace and awareness, we can become more conscious of every aspect of our lives, in both the microcosm (our being) and macrocosm (the universe), leading us to our highest potential, and in essence, our highest self.”

Shaffali Miglani has practiced skincare, yoga and meditation since her teenage years. She is now a certified yoga instructor. She also has a skin care therapy license with her own skin care line - Shaffali Skincare (dedicated to her mother who showed her the ancient wisdom of natural beauty.) Her extensive experiences in yoga, meditation and skin care are what differentiate Shaffali Skin care; the products are a beautiful blend of ayurveda and aromatherapy.
